Take a walk

Nothing clears my head like a walk does, even a short one to run some errands. 

I am outside, in the moment (because cars don’t stop for dreamers, usually). My mind is still, my body moves, my lungs inhale the fresh autumn air, and I am happy. 

That’s how I feel when I take a walk. If my writing is eluding me, walking is usually the easiest way to unblock. 

If taking a walk outside isn’t possible because it is autumn and the rain keeps pelting down, take a walk through your home. Look around and notice the things you love around you, notice how each room feels, move things around just for the fun of it. 

And then go back to your desk to write.
