This year, I have experimented with weekly goal setting. I started out with 4 weekly goals in 4 different categories and ended the experiment with 6 different categories.
I call the experiment failed. The reason why it failed? I made a list after thinking loads and then set lofty goals. And then at the weekly reflection, I felt like a failure.
When I set goals I forgot to take my energy levels into account. I forgot my body needs rest and sometimes even getting out of bed is a struggle.
I forgot compassion, and with that simple omission, I set myself up for failure.
So, setting goals with love in mind is the way forward for me. How about you?
