My first tip for this cycle of posts is simple: plan your days.
Create time blocks in which you will write. They can be small, like 15 minutes while on a break, or half an hour before you head to work.
For an extra push: set alarms on your phone for those time blocks, and grab your pen and paper, your laptop, your phone, whatever you use to write.
Keep it simple, and vow to yourself that you will only do one thing when the alarm goes: writing. That’s all you need to do.
Before you know it, you are ready to write before the alarm even rings, that is the beauty of having a fixed schedule.
