Chair Yoga

I usually set a timer when I write, both with my writing partner and alone. It helps me to focus on the one task at hand and not at all distractions around me. 

I just tell myself: the timer will go off in a bit, and then I can get distracted by that flashing screen on my phone. 

There is a downside to focused writing like that: without realising it, I tense my muscles in my shoulders and back, and before long that results in muscles straining. 

That’s why I often do chair yoga or simple stretches between sessions. 

Here’s a really great chair yoga session I’ve found on YouTube a while ago, that has some of my favourite asana’s. 

Before you do these chair yoga session, please heed their warnings, and listen to your body at all times!
