No use getting angry

There's no use getting angry
When your body begs for recovery
For rest and excellent self-care
And you aren't able to do what
Your mind says you really should

I’m in bed, wearing jammies, using something to stop my throat from itching.

I’m working even though I don’t really have the energy for it. When I’ve written this blog post, I’m going to quit for a while and watch something, mindlessly.

It’s ok.

That’s what years after resisting being sick has taught me. It’s ok to rest. It’s perfectly fine to stay in bed an extra day if it will make you get over the flu symptoms faster.

Knowing what you need. That’s what self-love truly is.
