Why I blog

I have been blogging for a long time, the posts I still have go back more than ten years.

And I am still at it 🙂 I have written a blog post every day this year, even while having the flu/recovering from it all of February.

I blog because of one simple reason: I love it.

Well, there are more, I feel my most connected writing seeps through on these pages. I once wrote a poem that said, “My true self lives on these pages” and that is very true for my blog as well. I am at my most open here, my most playful and my most creative.

Blogging is effortlessly too. I write most of my posts here in one go, usually within 10 minutes. Sometimes it can take most of the day before the post is ready to be written, but I always have faith that I will have written something by the end of the day.

I love it.

I love how words flow from my fingers onto the screen of my WordPress site and then flows out into the world to find its own way.

I love the poetry that seeps through in every page. I am a poet at heart, but poetry doesn’t have to be in a poem, it can be in a story too, or in a blog post like this one.

I love that.

I love to be a writer, a blogger. I love that I can write something that several people like. I love it also when I am the only one who reads it.

I am smiling as I write this. I don’t even know when I started to. It just makes me feel home in myself, writing this blog post.

I love to be a writer.
