I can’t even describe how it made me feel! Both validated and joyful and so eager to play!
Last month I realized how much I had pushed play out of my life in favor of being old and grumpy with all my physical issues.
Play is at the core of my being, and seeing that ability I have listed above made me see I hadn’t lost that playful vibe at all.
That sense of connectivity, living in the moment is an integral part of play.
And I am a pro at it. I always look at the simple, small things. In the car I am usually a silent passenger because I look at the clouds and the trees that rush by, at animals in the fields, birds that make pretty patterns in the sky, everything. In the train I always look outside too, and have a notebook with me to write in, because my sense of wonder always makes me want to write.
Talking about wonder, it is the first subject of my podcast that comes out somewhere next month! I have been wanting to make one for years and now I let play back in my life again I can’t wait to get started!
