On old traps and new plans

I have been sick these past weeks, and for the first time in ages, I didn’t feel like I should post something. I just focused on being well.

Then on Monday, I said to myself, “I am going to write a post for The Write Life.”

At the end of the day, I still hadn’t written a post.

Then yesterday I wrote it in my bullet journal again.

I proceeded to do something I was able to do while I was sick, adding blog posts from old websites to my blog (a project that has been on my to-do list for eons) and I added a post that made me giggle.

The title of the post was: “My new blogging schedule!”

It was a good post, about a mile long, and it was so full of good intentions and hope. Thing is, I knew that I failed at that schedule within a month.

I tried the same again earlier this year, and I failed miserably at it.

I know that I work best without a schedule, with blog posts that are brewing in my head and then come out when they want to, not when I push them to come out.

So, instead of forcing myself to write posts on this on Monday and that on Wednesday, I will go organically again.

In November I would love to post daily, as part of NaNoWriMo. I know I can do that because I have done month-long challenges before. I can’t wait!
