On writing

This week, I share a poem about being a writer, starting next week, I will start to write about NaNoWriMo! yay!

On with the poem!

Being a writer sometimes means

you stare at the wall for an hour

as your thoughts percolate and

become the tale you want to write

Being a writer sometimes means

you have to find a word by doodling

silly shapes on a pad, as if the pencil

is carving pathways to your story

Being a writer sometimes means

sitting with a cup of tea, eyes focused

on the steam, as if they are the clouds

that cover up the words you long to write

Being a writer also means that when

you have cleared the cobwebs, you

sit down, and write, for all you can do
