When it comes to self-care, I like to ask myself questions.
These questions come in two different shapes:
- Questions on what I can do to make my life better
- Questions on why I want to do something for myself.
The first type of questions is a part of everyday life. Every once in a while I ask myself: what can I do to make my life better?
It helps me greatly in building new routines (more on those tomorrow).
Then, once I start doing something for myself, the second type of questions comes in.
For instance. I brush my teeth every day. Some days I get up and think: nope, not going to brush my teeth because of reasons.
Having all the answers ready as to why I want to brush my teeth, I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth.
These questions are crucial.
