When I do my yoga, my cat Sierra often looks down on me, perched in the box I once left on the chair at the foot of the bed. That box now is her home.

She stares at me while I move from asana to asana, her chin resting on the edge of the box. At times she stretches, curving her body into a whole new sleeping position.

At those times it feels like she is teaching me what the outcome is of all my stretching efforts.

She is, after all, by nature a master yogini.

After my time on the mat, she usually comes to sit by my side, her body curving and stretching until her head fits perfectly in my hand.
