Warning, this posting is filled with gushy geekishness. Read at your own peril.
In October 2010 I was a happy little geek. I had my first ever iPhone, and oh my gosh, I was so happy with it. Half a year later it decided to take diving lessons and stopped working. I was so sad. I got an early renewal with the phone company, as iPhones come without warranty where water is concerned, they even have this little tattle tale thingie inside them to prove to the customer that it was in contact with water at some point.
I got an Android phone and was very happy with it, even liked it better than my old iPhone, except for a couple apps that weren’t on it. One of the most missed apps wasInstagram.
Instagram is a mobile phone app for picture taking and editing. It makes these cute pictures that you see strewn across this posting 🙂
I love to take pictures with my mobile phone and I love to cutify them withInstagram:)
So when I read somewhere that Instagram was available for Android, I ran and installed it, and well, myFacebookfriends can attest to the fact that I have grown addicted again fast. It is so much fun to play with pictures again 🙂
I so giggled when I read rants by iPhone users who felt that their favorite app was taken away from them. I felt like I had my iPhone back again when I took pictures with the app.
When I read the announcement that Facebook had bought Instagram for an insane amount of money I couldn’t help but smile.
Of course they wanted to have it. Instagram has a huge userbase and knows how to program for mobile phones. I hopeFacebooklearns something from the Instagram team in stead of forcing their own clunky app behavior on Instagram.
I bet Mark Zuckerberg was a fan before he decided to buy it. Instagram does that to people 🙂
